Description Summary The Assistant Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing all support functions for the ACI Jet Maintenance Department, including but not limited to shop cleanliness, consumable stocking, related equipment upkeep, parts processing, tooling relocation, and support. Assists Aircraft Maintenance Technicians and all other maintenance support-related duties. This position does not require any certification, and the individual will be trained in the specific functions of the job description. This is not a position for a certificated aircraft mechanic. The Assistant Maintenance Technician reports directly to the SNA Site Supervisor/AOG Manager. Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned as required by management): Responsible for the maintenance hangar organization and daily upkeep. Completing tasks assigned to himself/herself in accordance with the procedures set forth in the repair station manual. Ensure the cleanliness of the maintenance facilities and equipment. Requisition of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties. Observes appearances and conditions of premises and equipment; reports needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services. Responsible for the handling and storage of all maintenance ground support equipment. Perform non-maintenance related aircraft servicing, such as oxygen and oil replenishing. Ensure that all maintenance or alteration processes are appropriately completed and documented electronically on the maintenance forms as set forth in this manual. Ensures the safety and quality with respect to ACI Jet’s FAR 145 maintenance operation by participating in ACI Jet’s SQMS and CASS program and promoting a safety and quality-oriented culture among maintenance personnel. Responsible for replenishing maintenance-related consumables such as oxygen and nitrogen cylinders, hydraulic fluid, engine oil, cleaning solvents, etc. Assist technicians in performing maintenance on aircraft when needed. Assist maintenance in all other operational duties as the need arises. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid and clean driver’s license. Must be able to work as part of a team and independently, in a high-stress and fast-paced environment. Must be able to follow specific instructions. Must be highly motivated and organized. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, sit, bend, and stand for extended periods. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Desired Mechanically-inclined Automotive, diesel-mechanical experience, and electrical knowledge Comfortable or experienced around heavy machinery Desire to expand mechanical and equipment experience portfolio Bilingual in Spanish is desirable Pay $28.00 - $32.00 | DOE
