Description

ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT – HARDING+

Are you someone with a keen interest in finance, who enjoys working with spreadsheets and making sense of numbers? Perhaps you’re studying towards your ACCA or CIMA qualification and looking for a part-time role that gives you hands-on experience in a supportive team environment?
At Harding+, we’re looking for a curious and detail-focused individual to join our busy finance team as a Part-Time Assistant Management Accountant. If you enjoy working with data, have a logical mindset, and like the idea of contributing to the financial heartbeat of a business, this could be a great opportunity for you.
If so, this opportunity at Harding+ could be the perfect fit for you.

WHO WE ARE

At Harding+, we’re redefining cruise retail. Partnering with some of the world’s leading cruise lines and brands, we bring innovation and exceptional customer experiences to life onboard. Our commitment to excellence has earned us the title of Cruise Retailer of the Year in both 2022 and 2023.

Responsibilities

As Assistant Management Accountant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accuracy and clarity in financial reporting. You will be part of a dynamic finance team that values collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
You’ll be responsible for preparing and posting month-end journals, reconciling accounts, and supporting the close process. But your impact goes beyond the numbers—you’ll help explain variances, highlight potential risks, and contribute to forecasting and budgeting cycles.
You’ll also be involved in the creation of departmental P&L reports, managing the Fixed Asset Register, and reconciling balance sheets. Whether reviewing capex requests or reviewing cost centre expenditure, your attention to detail and logical mindset will be key.
This is a part-time, permanent position based at our Avonmouth office, with hybrid working available. We envisage the role to be around 25 hours per week, which can be worked flexibly across the week—either as 4–5 hours per day or as 3 full working days.
Please note that Tuesdays and Wednesdays are preferred office-based days.
The remaining hours can be arranged to suit your schedule, including options that work around the school day.
