REQUIREMENTS:

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA part qualified.
  • 3 years’ experience in industry / business.
  • Previous retail and wholesale industry experience would be advantageous.
  • Proven record of producing management accounts and KPI reports.
  • Highly analytical and good at problem solving.
  • Able to improve system, procedures and processes.
  • Experience of Microsoft Business Central (Navision) would be advantageous.
  • High quality excel skills essential

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented individual. The AMA will be primarily responsible for the management accounts preparation and be the FM’s no.2 in the finance team . The successful candidate will ensure highly detailed, accurate and reconciled management accounts as well as other commercial and operations reports and metrics packs are produced in a timely manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Reporting: Produce the management accounts including full balance sheet reconciliations, create the monthly reporting packs and present to the FM & FD. The presentation will include commercial, operational and cost performance metrics alongside the key financials. Weekly reporting will include ECOM performance, FX and Cashflow.
  2. Statutory Reporting: Assist in the preparation of the statutory audit and tax information, monthly submissions to HMRC on bonded stock, Quarterly VAT Returns & plastic packaging submission, EPR (extended producer responsibility – waste packaging) and p11ds
  3. Stock integrity: Ledger and item reconciliations, stock audits, exception reporting and liaising with the Inventory team to help manage and maintain the integrity and risk of all stock. Help put protective procedures in place and assist with any corrective actions
  4. Relationship Building/Collaboration: Finance is at the forefront of the business, so it is important to develop relationships with all colleagues across the different departments. Key relationships will be with the Operational, Commercial, Supply Chain and IT teams.
  5. Financial Planning: Production of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and monthly cash flow projections including FX
  6. Ad-hoc: Assist the FM & FD in maintaining any financial, commercial and operational reports, trackers and analysis that assist in understanding the performance of the business and help with improvement initiative projects.
