We’re looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to support our Senior Finance Business Partner at our flagship site in Bridgwater. In this role, you’ll contribute to critical financial insights, support decisions, and help drive cost efficiencies across a dynamic, high-volume manufacturing environment. Occasional travel will be a necessary part of the role, to enable you to influence performance and make a real difference where it matters most.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a proactive and analytical individual to support our Senior Finance Business Partner at our Bridgwater site – the largest manufacturing site in Refresco UK. In this key role, you’ll provide financial analysis and insight to help drive cost efficiency and informed decision-making.
You’ll assist with the production of accurate monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, helping to identify and understand key cost drivers across the site. You’ll also play a crucial role in supporting strong business partnering with operational teams, offering clear financial insight and constructive challenge to drive performance improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

  • Prepare site reports and KPIs on labour, waste, and R&M spend, with insightful commentary.
  • Support period-end processes, including journals, utility analysis, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate cost centre trackers and lead reviews with budget owners.
  • Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and capital expenditure modelling.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and provide audit support.
  • Contribute to ERP system implementation and ongoing improvements.
  • Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and support business decision-making.
