WE’RE LOOKING FOR A ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT TO JOIN OUR TEAM IN, KINGS HILL, UK.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive finance professional to support the accurate and compliant financial operations of the business. The role encompasses key responsibilities across financial reporting, transaction review, journal posting, balance sheet reconciliation, and cashflow forecasting. You will manage complex intercompany accounts, maintain prepayments and fixed asset registers, and ensure compliance with IFRS and local tax regulations including VAT and Intrastat. The role also includes reviewing customer and supplier rebates, authorising multi-currency payments, and maintaining accurate exchange rate data. A strong emphasis is placed on providing financial insight, supporting audit and continuous improvement initiatives, and contributing to both regular and ad hoc finance projects.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyse P&L transactions, posting journals and adjustments as needed.
  • Support monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist with audit preparation.
  • Manage and reconcile prepayments and the fixed asset register, including depreciation and disposals.
  • Calculate and reconcile customer and supplier rebates in line with commercial agreements.
  • Assist in the preparation of short- and long-term cashflow forecasts.
  • Handle complex intercompany reconciliations, ensuring compliance with group reporting standards.
  • Prepare and submit Irish VAT returns and Intrastat, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure accuracy in financial reporting in line with IFRS and company policies.
  • Authorize multi-currency payments and maintain up-to-date exchange rates for accurate reporting.
  • Provide financial insights to internal teams and contribute to continuous improvement projects.
