ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

  • Finance/Accounting background with a minimum of 7 years professional experience
  • Experience within airfreight, airline or wider supply chain industry is considered an advantage
  • Demonstrated leadership in resolving or escalating issues, process improvement and team development
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability implementing and applying performance management framework
  • Strong analytical skills with digital mindset
  • Rigorous attitude with ability to follow and apply strict processes and internal controls
  • Fluent in English. Multiple languages (Spanish, Portuguese) is an asset
  • SAP expertise (FI,MM,VIM)
  • Advanced MS Excel. Power BI is an asset.
  • Strong advantage to have hand-on experience in multi-country entities environment.
  • US 1099 forms, US Property taxes, US Tax returns.

Responsibilities
  • Assist A1 Finance Manager with managing, coordination and revision of financial activities of Area 1 finance.
  • Assist A1 Finance Manager with the coordination of internal and external audits.
  • Assist A1 Finance Manager with local accountants and local legal representatives with all necessary information for monthly tax filings, VAT refunds, Tax withholdings, Income tax advances and other financial matters as required by each country and consistent with each country regulations. Other duties requested by management Tax withholdings from local suppliers and sending results to local accountants for proper booking.
  • Supervise and coach Payables and Receivables supervisors and accounting specialists. Ensuring invoices are paid accurately and timely and billing customers. This includes reviewing and processing suppliers’ invoices, ensuring accurately calculations of tax withholdings, set up new vendors, invoice approvals and bookings.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivables as needed.
  • Daily bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Assist with revision of expense reports, approval and entering of banking transactions, bank transfers and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with translations (Spanish to English and English to Spanish) as needed. Review contracts and agreements ensuring invoices are paid according to contract for Area 1 (North and South America) . At times language translations may be necessary and or required.
  • As needed, Assist Manager with preparation and monitoring of annual budgets for the South American Region and other as needed.
  • Generate financial and statistical reports as needed.
  • Acts as a liaison in the preparation of administrative duties and tasks as needed.
  • Able to review, read and understand contracts and agreements written in both: Spanish and English. At times translations may be necessary and or required.
  • Assist other managers and other co-workers as needed.
  • Maintain in an organized manner, files, contracts, POAs and financial information.
  • Other administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
