Job Description FULL TIME | Commencing 5th January 2026 Dreaming of swapping your morning commute for palm trees, sea breezes, and the sound of happy holidaymakers? At NRMA Airlie Beach, paradise isn’t just a place, it’s your new workplace! As our new Assistant Manager, you’ll be the right-hand captain of our tropical ship, ensuring smooth sailing across all areas of our sun-soaked resort. To set you up for success, you’ll initially spend three days each week in Reception and two days in the Assistant Manager role, learning the ins and outs of front office operations, accommodation systems, and troubleshooting guest queries. Your full-time roster will include Saturdays, Sundays, three weekdays, to provide coverage for the Park Managers days off. You will have one weekend off per month to enjoy the Whitsundays lifestyle. Your varied responsibilities will include: Reception Operations: Master front office procedures, guest check-ins and check-outs, and troubleshooting common issues. Ordering for Housekeeping: Keep our linen cupboards as fresh as the ocean breeze and our supplies shipshape. Managing the Kiosk: Stock up on snacks, smiles, and all the essentials that keep our guests fuelled for fun. Stock Take Involvement: Channel your inner treasure hunter and keep track of our resort’s bounty. Operational Support: Be the go-to mate for the Park Manager and step up as skipper when they’re off-duty. Team Rostering & Recruitment: Help build a crew that’s as legendary as the Great Barrier Reef—organised, enthusiastic, and ready for adventure! Guest Experience: Deliver five-star service under the sun, supporting food & beverage and all things guest happiness. Safety & Leadership: Keep our paradise safe, fun, and running smoother than a sunset cruise. This role will grow and develop as the park does, offering opportunities to expand your leadership and operational skills. It is a perfect role for someone with accommodation experience (a must!), a knack for rostering, and a flair for food & beverage. If you’re a Front Office Manager ready to level up, or just keen for a role that grows as the park does, you’ll love this next chapter. What You’ll Bring Previous experience in accommodation (hotels, resorts, holiday parks, or tourism). If you know your way around a check-in and a pool towel, you’re our kind of person! Strong administration skills, with a keen eye for detail and efficiency. Proven experience managing teams and creating effective rosters. A sense of humour is essential for joining our fun-loving crew! Confident communicator with a sunny attitude, ready to roll up your sleeves and get amongst it.
