The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the bar and events. You’ll play a key role in leading the team, ensuring smooth operations during busy shifts, and helping maintain our high standards of service, compliance, and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily operation of the bar and kitchen, ensuring smooth service from open to close.
  • Lead and motivate front-of-house and bar staff during shifts, particularly on busy weekends.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, handling guest enquiries and resolving issues quickly.
  • Support with stock management, ordering, and supplier relationships.
  • Oversee cash handling, tills, and end-of-day reports.
  • Ensure all health & safety, food hygiene, and licensing laws are followed.
  • Help train, coach, and develop team members to maintain a positive workplace culture.
  • Act as Duty Manager in the absence of the General Manager.

About You

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role in hospitality (bar/restaurant experience essential).
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and confident running a busy service.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of stock control, cash handling, and compliance procedures.
  • Flexible and reliable – must be able to work late nights on weekends.
  • Passionate about hospitality and creating great guest experiences.
