Additionally, the position requires providing consultation, recommendations, and implementation on IT/Ops-related matters, while supporting the COO in operational functions and activities. You'll be responsible for: To supervise and provide guidance to Junior Business Analyst. Lead business walkthrough with business units to develop business initiatives or requirements, seek clarification, identify initiatives correlation, and provide initial process and systems impact analysis and resource needs To review the documented User Requirements with the Business User and to obtain proper signed off by the Business To review Business User Test Scripts, support Business in the User Acceptance Testing and to obtain proper signed off by the Business Work with business units and IT to document functional test scenarios, test plans, test strategies and end-user acceptance testing criteria Participate projects in accordance to project management principles and methodologies as business analyst roles Develop/Maintain/Upgrade documentation specifics to Business Analyst Ensure personal development for self improvement and build positive working relationships within the team Perform any other duties as assigned by the COO Important to your success: Must Have: Min 3 years of Business Analyst skill set – such as able to document the business requirements, analyzed the requirements, etc Min 2 years of General Insurance domain knowledge (product development, underwriting, RI, Claims, Finance & regulatory related is added advantage) Experienced to work with IT technical staff (inclusive of vendors) & Business stakeholders Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies Able to propose solutions or workaround Added Advantage: Data Analysis – familiarity with data modeling, exposure to data-driven projects or digital transformation Understand AI capabilities and limitation in non-technical language – such as eliciting requirements, analyzing data, modeling processes, or communicating insights IT technical experienced (it will be good if the candidate is an IT graduate) Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, Jira, Confluence, and Power BI.
