JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and hospitality, with experience in a fast-paced environment. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through exceptional service, food preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, with roles such as barista, server, or assistant manager being advantageous.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Leadership abilities to train and develop staff while managing shifts effectively.
  • Background in casual dining or fine dining environments is beneficial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when needed.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Support management in daily operations, including shift management and supervising team members to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Train new staff members on cafe procedures, food handling practices, and customer service expectations.
  • Assist in food preparation and cooking to meet menu requirements while adhering to food safety standards.
  • Operate the POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
  • Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including dining spaces and kitchen equipment.
  • Assist in catering events or banquets as required, demonstrating versatility in various food service settings.
  • Uphold high standards of hospitality management by creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons.
