Responsibilities: The Assistant Manager will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and supervising civil maintenance operations and minor projects across the Main Campus and Outreach facilities to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. The role oversees technical staff, maintenance programs, contractor performance, budgeting, asset management, and facility upkeep while ensuring compliance with AKUH policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The incumbent also supports operational readiness of new facilities and ensures timely delivery of preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance services. You will be responsible for: Oversee civil maintenance operations, minor projects, inspections, and facility upkeep across Main Campus and Outreach facilities, ensuring compliance with AKUH standards and timely service delivery. Supervise technical staff, contractors, and consultants, ensuring effective coordination, performance management, and achievement of operational goals. Plan, monitor, and execute preventive, corrective, reactive, and emergency maintenance programs while ensuring proper documentation and reporting. Prepare technical and financial comparative statements, cost estimates, budget requirements, and monitor expenses to ensure cost-effective operations. Manage contracts, inventory, asset evaluations, and the handover of construction projects through comprehensive punch listing and closure processes. Coordinate with stakeholders and Outreach teams to establish maintenance management systems, operational procedures, and the takeover of new facilities. Ensure compliance with JCIA, ISO, safety regulations, and quality standards while promoting safe work practices and the proper use of PPE. Conduct facility inspections, support staff development and training initiatives, manage emergency response activities, and report operational updates to senior management. Requirements: B.E (Civil) from Govt. recognized institute, Computer knowledge is preferred. 6 to 8 years of civil 'work related experience along with supervisory capabilities. Project management/Planning & scheduling of any task would be count as additional. proficient in computer knowledge Supervise, train, and manage multidisciplinary teams with effective task planning and scheduling. Take initiative, work under pressure, and resolve problems efficiently. Interpret blueprints and maintain accurate records and systems. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
