ABOUT THE ROLE

This position sits within the Risk Advisory Services (RAS) team, and is responsible for the delivery of RAS projects, client matters, building team performance at both an individual and team level and actively supporting the Partners in the leadership of the team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

In this client facing role, you’ll be responsible for planning, developing and delivering major assurance and advisory engagements. Engagements will include contract performance audit, compliance audit and related contract performance advisory assignments.
You’ll also provide assurance services to our key clients through independent review of project estimates and contractual arrangements prior to contract execution. You’ll utilise your knowledge, skills and experience to support other team members and foster strong client relationships.

In specific, duties may include:

  • Assist in building and mentoring a team of highly skilled contract performance audit, internal audit and risk advisory staff.
  • Manage a varied portfolio of clients across a range of industry sectors, with a focus on risk, controls and assurance.
  • Supervise and undertake fieldwork and prepare written reports or deliverables of a high quality and standard, adhering to budgets and timelines.
  • Scoping and delivering a variety of internal audit, contract performance audit and advisory projects.
  • Interacting with clients and stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions on a variety of internal audit and contract assurance projects.
  • Understand and apply the firm’s professional delivery standards to deliver high-quality, insightful advice and exceptional client service.
  • Drive the development of new business solutions / service offerings.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of current practice processes, tools and methodologies.
  • Drive growth initiatives and business development of the practice while working with Partners / Associate Directors and other service lines across the broader BDO team.
  • Maintaining and developing good relationships with clients as well as identifying future opportunities.
  • Executes Risk Advisory services with minimal guidance and support from Firm management.
