Description

About Freehand Hospitality
Rooted in chef-led creativity, our team is passionate about bringing people together with bold flavours, thoughtful ingredients, and warm, welcoming service. We celebrate diverse culinary styles—from upscale Maritime dining to classic French fare—paired with genuine hospitality that leaves a lasting impression. Every dish tells a story, and every experience celebrates connection, community, and a true sense of place in Halifax.
Daryâ is an elegant-meets-earthy abode, we invite you to enjoy our chefs’ interpretation of Eastern Mediterranean flavours, ingredients and techniques. Our name, which translates to “sea” or “ocean” in Persian, serves as a nod to both our waterfront location and the Eastern Mediterranean seaboard. Led by District Executive Chef Steven Kwon and Chef de Cuisine Wesley Bernard, our kitchen seeks to pay homage to the distinct culinary traditions of the Eastern Mediterranean.
