Are you a motivated and customer-focused individual looking for a rewarding opportunity? DEBRA, the butterfly skin charity, is seeking a dedicated Assistant Shop Manager to join our team in Dorking . This is a permanent, part-time position where you will play a vital role in the successful operation of our shop, helping us to raise essential funds and awareness.

What you’ll be doing:

This is a hands-on role with varied responsibilities. You will be supporting the Shop Manager in the daily management of the shop, including:

  • Sorting, pricing, and displaying donated items, including clothing, books, and homeware.
  • Creating attractive window and in-store displays to maximise sales.
  • Providing exceptional customer service and fostering a welcoming shopping environment.
  • Maintaining shop floor standards and ensuring a clean and organised environment.
  • Managing stock levels, which involves physical handling and movement of goods.
  • Recruiting, training, and supporting our valued team of volunteers.
  • Handling financial transactions and ensuring the security of the premises.
