Whiski is a Scottish Restaurant and Bar on The Royal Mile serving locally sourced Scottish food with a great drinks offering . A very busy and fun place to work with great tronc tips (so a fabulous package on offer with expected earnings of £42K+).
We are looking for an experienced, upbeat, pro-active and focused individual to join our vibrant team.
We are dedicated to offering the highest levels of service to our customers and ensuring the venue runs smoothly to company standards. Great Scottish food and a vibrant restaurant and bar and a with huge selection of whisky and varied cocktail list. You, the staff and all the customers having a great time is essential!

Experienced hands on Assistant or Duty Manager who leads by example -

  • Friendly outgoing personality a must with the ability to inspire staff and charm customers
  • Financially driven with strong business acumen
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Computer literate and Social Media knowledgeable
  • Restaurant and Bar experience required
  • Excellent presentation, attention to detail and organised
  • Knowledge of whisky is a bonus but training given and we guarantee you will love it after working here !

Duties

This is a “hands on” role and you will be responsible for:

  • Front customer facing, meeting, seating, greeting customers
  • Deputising in the General Managers absence
  • Managing the staff to ensure efficient service
  • Focusing on offering the highest levels of service
  • Daily controlling salary budgets
  • Mentoring and developing the team
  • Driving the business forward
