Job Description: Assistant HSE Manager Position Title: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager Department: Work Dynamics - Facilities Management Reports To: Platform HSSE Lead / Account Director Location: Pune, India (Multi-site responsibility) Role Purpose The HSE Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing health, safety, and environmental programs across assigned JLL Work Dynamics accounts. This role ensures employees and subcontractors work in safe environments and return home safely each day. The position requires demonstrating leadership in HSE issues, applying JLL and management systems and standards, and promoting a proactive HSE culture across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities Performance Management Implement Global WD HSE strategic objectives within assigned accounts, ensuring operational relevance Manage and reduce operational risks by providing guidance on HSE risk management at all levels Provide technical advice on relevant HSE issues and communicate legislative changes impacting service delivery Ensure building-related risk assessments comply with legal requirements and Global Risk Control Standards Lead incident and accident investigations across the account Implement effective HSE communication plans Leadership & Stakeholder Management Foster a Culture of Safety across assigned accounts Lead, manage, and develop HSE teams maintaining appropriate structures for operational management Develop relationships with key internal and external HSE stakeholders Manage client relationships ensuring expected service levels are achieved Establish effective relationships with Account Teams, Client organizations, and 3rd party vendors Ensure 3rd party vendors maintain compliance with JLL WD and Client HSE Standards Standards & Compliance Implement and maintain JLL Regional HSE operational controls (processes, standards, procedures, guidelines) Drive development of best practice HSE training programs and resources Implement HSE strategy and operating protocols for contractor and supply chain safety performance Manage HSE regulatory compliance including management of change related to new legislation Support assurance for the HSE program aligned with client, JLL, national, and industry standards Qualifications & Experience Essential Requirements Minimum 8 years' experience developing, implementing, and managing HSE programs Strong track record in HSE management within Operational Management systems and corporate client environments Experience managing HSE for multiple sites across multiple countries ISO 14001 and 45001 Management system development, implementation, and auditing experience Experience implementing HSE technology platforms and data management tools across multiple regions Practical working knowledge of risk management across complex multi-site property portfolios Skills & Competencies Strong interpersonal skills with ability to establish credibility with senior management Results-oriented with strong focus on delivery of objectives Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, across all organizational levels Strong business acumen and strategic thinking Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative to resolve issues Strong cultural awareness and ability to operate across geographies and cultures Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field, ADIS (Mandatory) Professional HSE certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) – applicable for asst. manager and above level. Internal audit certification as per ISO 45001, ISO 14001.
