ASSISTANT VENUE AND EVENTS MANAGER
We have an exciting vacancy for an experienced restaurant leader looking for further their career progression, by joining our thriving, independent restaurant and cocktail bar, in the heart of the Plymouth Barbican.
Within this role, you will work closely with the general manager, senior chefs & bar manager, assisting in taking the reins of the day to day operation, which will include, managing our front of house operation, to ensure an overall productive and efficient operation. This role will suit a hands on, customer facing leader, that sees themselves as the face of the business.
You will also manage our events and large group bookings, liaising with the senior chefs, bar manager and general manager to provide a top-class large group experience.
Specific duties:
- Events organisation, booking management and training.
- Leading service as the duty manager, during shifts in the GM’s absence.
- Assisting with continuous team training, to ensure standard operating procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Problem solving and continuing to implement, well practised systems, to ensure a smooth food and beverage operation.
- Assisting the Bar manager, to ensure adequate bar and sundry stock is in place.
