Finest Aquatics is a specialist aquatic retailer providing high-quality tropical, marine, and coldwater fish, aquariums and accessories. We pride ourselves on expert knowledge, exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of livestock care.
As our award winning store continues to grow, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team and support the day-to-day running of the store.
The Role
As Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Retail Store Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the store. You will play a key role in leading the team, driving sales, maintaining high standards and ensuring the health and wellbeing of our livestock.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager with daily operations and overall store management.
  • Lead, train and motivate staff to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Support in stock control, ordering and merchandising of products
  • Ensure the highest standards of livestock care, system maintenance and store presentation
  • Drive sales through excellent product knowledge and customer engagement.
  • Take responsibility for the store in the absence of the General Manager.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in retail management or supervisory roles (aquatic experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Passionate about aquatics and animal welfare, with a willingness to learn.
  • Organised, proactive and able to work well under pressure.
  • A strong communicator with proven leadership skills.
  • Flexible to work weekends and bank holidays as required.
