Description

Talent on the Move
We’re on the lookout for a sharp, service-focused Assistant FOH Manager who’s ready to step up, lead from the floor, and bring energy to every shift. You’ll work side-by-side with the FOH Manager to run smooth, high-quality services - and be trusted to take the reins when they’re not around.
About the company
Located in the heart of Martin Place, this hatted restaurant has quickly made its mark on Sydney’s dining scene. With capacity for 100+ guests and a dynamic team, the venue is part of a growing hospitality group with multiple projects in the pipeline. The culture is people-first, quality-driven, and built around trust — no micromanagement, just a focus on high standards, autonomy, and rewarding leadership. If you’re looking to grow your career in a place where your input matters, this is the kind of group you want to be part of.
About the role
We’re on the lookout for a sharp, service-focused Assistant FOH Manager who’s ready to step up, lead from the floor, and bring energy to every shift. You’ll work side-by-side with the FOH Manager to run smooth, high-quality services — and be trusted to take the reins when they’re not around. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in the action, knows how to keep standards high, and can motivate a team without breaking a sweat.

Responsibilities

  • Running floor operations and leading the team during service
  • Supporting the FOH Manager with training, team development, and day-to-day ops
  • Being a confident point of contact for both staff and guests
  • Keeping service sharp, standards high, and team morale strong
  • Driving a proactive sales culture (think: guiding the guest journey, not just taking orders)
  • Managing the floor independently when the FOH Manager is away
  • Helping build a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous improvement

About you

  • Experience in premium dining (fine dining or upscale brasserie-style – no pubs or clubs)
  • You’re hands-on, present, and lead by example — not from behind a desk
  • Comfortable setting the tone and stepping in when things slip
  • Assertive without ego — you hold the line, but you also lift the team
  • A natural communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
  • Confident working to sales targets and driving results on the floor
  • Someone who sees feedback as fuel and always looks for ways to improve
  • Fully eligible to work in Australia (no sponsorship available)

The Perks

  • $80–85K + super
  • 38–42 hrs/weeks and a fixed roster
  • Be part of a high-performing venue with strong leadership and future expansion plans
  • Real career growth within a scaling hospitality group
  • Work in a culture where autonomy is earned and rewarded — no micromanagement
