Job Description

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS INCLUDE:

  • Minimum two years of experience in Food & Beverage, with at least one year in a leadership role
  • Previous experience in a hotel restaurant, banquet, or multi-outlet environment is preferred
  • Serving It Right certification required
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of POS systems (Silverware), reservation platforms (OpenTable), and hotel systems (Opera) is an asset
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team
  • Flexibility to work in different venues with varying service styles
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Frequent ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
  • Occasional bending and kneeling

Responsibilities

Reporting line assigned by the Director of Food & Beverage relative to the functional area assigned, the Assistant Manager – F&B Operations is a flexible leader who supports all front-of-house food and beverage operations, including Q Restaurant, Q Bar, Lobby Lounge, Veranda, In-Room Dining and Banquets. This role ensures consistent service delivery and operational excellence across multiple venues.

  • Provide on-the-floor leadership during service in various outlets and banquet events, supporting daily operations and guest satisfaction
  • Support outlet managers, banquet leaders, and Captains by providing coverage during days off, vacations, or high-volume periods
  • Lead and motivate teams by fostering a positive environment and modeling exemplary guest service
  • Ensure service standards, grooming, and cleanliness are consistently upheld in all venues
  • Support scheduling, payroll verification, and shift briefings across outlets and banquets as needed
  • Coordinate with culinary, stewarding, banquet setup, and other departments to ensure seamless service execution
  • Maintain a strong presence during peak service times to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new team members and casuals across all food & beverage areas
  • Handle guest concerns and feedback promptly and professionally, escalating issues as appropriate
  • Monitor inventory and support requisitions for supplies and equipment
  • Promote and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, complying with all health and safety policies
  • Support marketing initiatives and promotions in coordination with the outlet leaders and marketing team
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager or F&B leadership
