Description
Roles & responsibilities  This role is responsible for planning, executing, and validating deployments across all environments, including cloud-based (primarily Azure) and on‑premise setups. The focus is to ensure that every release is delivered smoothly, with minimal downtime and high reliability. The role covers end‑to‑end deployment activities such as preparing deployment packages, executing release steps, performing post‑deployment validations, and maintaining consistency across environments. It involves close collaboration with Product, Engineering, QA, Security, and Cloud Operations teams to ensure that deployments are timely, secure, and fully aligned with release requirements. The team is also responsible for maintaining deployment documentation, adhering to change management processes, resolving deployment issues in real time, and leveraging automation and CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed, accuracy, and repeatability.  Execute day‑to‑day deployment operations with a strong focus on environment stability, performance, and overall customer experience across staging and production environments. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, Security, and Cloud Operations to plan releases, identify risks, and quickly resolve deployment-related issues, incidents, and defects. Drive operational excellence by implementing automation, improving observability, and creating repeatable runbooks; continuously enhance SLAs, SLOs, and reduce mean-time-to-recovery (MTTR). Plan and perform deployments for applications and infrastructure components across UAT and Production environments; enforce change management controls, release calendars, and approval workflows. Operate and optimize CI/CD pipelines to ensure consistent, auditable, and low‑risk deployments; implement advanced deployment patterns such as canary or blue‑green strategies when needed. Troubleshoot deployment failures, coordinate rollback actions, and conduct post‑implementation reviews to document lessons learned and prevent recurrence. Work closely with Developers, Testers, and Product Managers to design, operate, scale, and continuously improve large-scale cloud‑based SaaS services.
