*** This is a full-time position offered on an employment contract till 31 March 2027, with the possibility of renewal/extension based on performance and organisational needs. The role maintains the hospital National Trauma Registry and all quality assurance issues related to the Trauma Registry. He / she is responsible for entering data into the registry system ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in handling of all trauma related matters.   MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (A)       SPECIFIC  1.0     Implement Processes for Trauma Registry 1.1  Conduct daily trauma case screening to identify eligible cases for registry inclusion. 1.2  Abstract, code, and enter trauma data accurately into the National Trauma Registry in accordance with established definitions and guidelines. 1.3  Perform injury coding using standardized classification systems. 1.4  Conduct 6- and 12-month follow-up outcome interviews via telephone. 1.5  Perform routine data quality, completeness, and consistency checks to ensure accurate capture of trauma volume and outcomes. 1.6  Participate in data validation and data cleaning exercises, including internal and external audits. 1.7  Generate routine and ad-hoc trauma data reports for clinical, operational, audit, and regulatory purposes. 1.8  Assist in the review and refinement of trauma registry criteria, data elements, abstraction guidelines, and workflows. 1.9  Support trauma registry system enhancements, including user acceptance testing and reporting of system issues or errors.    (B)       GENERAL 1.0           Clinical Governance / Audit        1.1           Participate in annual trauma audits, including mortality reviews, injury coding audits, and data reliability assessments. 1.2           Support and participate in trauma-related and injury prevention research activities, including data extraction and validation. JOB REQUIREMENTS   (A)       EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE   A good degree in Nursing, Allied Health or Biomedical Sciences and its related field. At least 2 years of working experience, preferably in clinical or hospital setting Experience in databases and knowledge of medical terminology. Familiar with MS Office applications. Experience in registry data and knowledge of medical terminology would be advantageous. Meticulous and enjoys working with data. Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  
Responsibilities
The role is responsible for maintaining the National Trauma Registry by screening cases, coding injury data, and ensuring data accuracy. It also involves conducting follow-up interviews and generating reports for clinical and regulatory purposes.
