We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Graduate School: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Assisting the supervisors in the School’s administrations, and matters related to finance, human resources, etc; Managing and implementing the services and support for research postgraduate and professional doctoral programmes, in the areas of student recruitment, promotions, programme administrations, website maintenance, events, quality assurance, etc; Liaising with internal and external parties in planning, coordinating and managing the admissions and promotional activities of the School, and managing the production of related materials, such as programme brochures and student handbooks, in both printed and online versions; Supervising the processing of various types of applications, such as changes in study plans, and non-local students’ visa applications; Assisting in reviewing and enhancing the administrative policies and procedures, workflows and systems, to suit the needs of admissions and academic activities of the School; Arranging and providing professional student and career services, focusing on student engagement and development; Compiling statistical reports and providing support for the School Board, Research Degrees Committee, and other related committees; Assisting in partnerships with overseas institutes for student and staff exchange; Assisting the supervisors in organising meetings, preparing reports and managing projects; Coaching and supervising junior/clerical staff; and Performing any other tasks as assigned by supervisors. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognised degree or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant post-qualification work experience gained in the higher education sector, preferably related to research postgraduate and doctoral programmes; Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism in handling research postgraduate student matters; Demonstrated to be flexible and adaptable, and able to respond proactively to rapidly changing needs with excellent planning and organising skills; Strong sense of responsibility, good time management, and capability to work under pressure; An excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);and Proficiency in computer applications; Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
