The department of Business Excellence comprises a team of Business Analysts that bridges business, operations and technology teams to drive value-driven solutions. The team is responsible for end-to-end business analysis, including requirements elicitation, process optimisation, solution validation through testing, and training of operational users on new implementation. By combining strong domain expertise with structured methodologies, the team ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose, adopted effectively and embedded into day-to-day operations. The Business Analyst Assistant Manager role is a specialist leader who combines deep domain expertise with team leadership responsibilities. The role owns complex, high-impact initiatives within a specialised business domain while shaping business analysis capability, mentoring analysts and ensuring high-quality delivery, testing, and operational readiness. Job Responsibilities: Domain Ownership and Strategic Advisory Serve as the recognised subject matter expert within a specialised business domain, providing strategic guidance and expert advice to stakeholders. Lead impact assessments, solution options and recommendations for complex or high-risk initiatives. Influence business and technology decision through deep domain knowledge and structured analysis. Business Analysis Leadership and Delivery Lead end-to-end business analysis for complex initiatives, including requirements elicitation, functional design, process optimisation and solution validation. Ensure analysis outputs are consistent, high quality and aligned with business outcomes. Oversee and support user acceptance testing activities, ensuring solutions meet business and operational requirements. Operational Readiness, Testing and Training Accountable for operational readiness, including user acceptance testing, and transition to business-as-usual. Ensure solutions are well understood, adopted and sustainable post-implementation. Governance, Quality and Continuous Improvement Establish and uphold domain-specific analysis standards and best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across analysis, testing and operational processes. Ensure compliance with governance, risk and control requirement. Qualifications Degree in Information Technology or Business Information System. Minimum 5 years of working experience in Business Analysis and User Acceptance Testing. Extensive experience in Business Analysis with proven delivery of complex and high-impact initiatives. Strong domain Insurance domain knowledge, especially within the Health Insurance domain. Experience supporting testing and training in operational environment. Key Skills and Competencies Deep domain and systems expertise with strong business, system and operational understanding. Strong leadership presence with the ability to provide guidance to team members. Excellent analytical, structured thinking to resolve complex business and operational challenges, good problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Strong understanding of testing, change adoption and operational environments. Able to manage multiple initiatives, deadlines and cross-functional dependencies. Ability to coach, guide and build high-performing business analyst teams, supports succession planning. Builds credibility with stakeholder; can drive alignment and decisions, strong engagement and influencing skills. Risk & Issue management – able to identify, accesses and migrants’ business, operational and project risk proactively Strong written, verbal and presentation skills, can translate complex ideas for multiple audiences.
