We are on the lookout for a brand new Assistant Manager to be the heart of our student community in The Northfield, Northernhay House and Trust House, Exeter.
This is a full-time, on-site position, working 40 hours per week on a fixed shift basis. Shifts are typically Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break included for shifts over six hours. The role offers a salary of £30,000 reflective of experience and responsibilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Assistant Manager, you’ll be the right hand to the Property Manager, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the site. You’ll help lead the team, create a welcoming environment for students and keep everything running efficiently. Your role will include:

  • Delivering an exceptional student experience – fostering a safe, vibrant and inclusive community.
  • Leading and motivating the team – supporting staff training, development and day-to-day operations.
  • Driving occupancy and revenue – helping secure bookings, conducting viewings, and working with university partners.
  • Supporting site operations – assisting in all aspects of property management, from compliance to maintenance.
  • Managing financials – assisting in budget monitoring, rent collection and arrears management.

  • Experience in property, hospitality, or student accommodation management.
