Position Statement: Under the guidance and supervision of the Director of Human Resources and within the limits of established company policies and procedures, assists in the oversight and execution of all aspects of the Human Resources operation. The Assistant Manager, Human Resources also provides a professional and caring personal service to all managers and team members, and contributes to the profitability of the hotel whilst ensuring the welfare of all Position Summary: Reports to work as scheduled wearing appropriate attire as specified by the company’s dress and appearance standards maintaining a high standard of personal appearance and grooming at all times. Assist the Director of Human Resources in establishing goals and objectives for the HR Division consistent with the organization’s vision and mission statements. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department. Develop plans consistent with the organization’s vision and mission statements. Assist in the formulation, review and implementation of HR policies and procedures in alignment with organization’s direction and legislation requirement Review and streamline processes to achieve operational efficiency and support for business growth. Propose and lead HR projects/programs including promotion, staff reward and recognition, employee assistance program, and assist in the delivery briefing/training session where necessary. Is highly knowledgeable of departmental and company standards of performance, policies and procedures and demonstrates and or enforces them consistently. Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company team members. Assists in administration of compensation program; helps to monitor performance appraisal process. Assists with all team members grievances and any other labor issues that may arise. Administers the company’s benefits programs to include group medical & dental, and pension plans: ensuring timely enrollment of team members, timely removal from appropriate plans, and timely communication of changes to the appropriate service providers/agents; claims resolution, and processing invoices for payment. Coordinates and executes recruitment effort for nonexempt/line team members; and the use of temporary and on-call team members. Assists with the recruitment process of exempt/managerial level personnel as required. Administers pre-employment tests; conducts and executes reference and background checks informing candidates of the results of their participation in the selection process using established company process. Assists in organizational training and development efforts such as conducting new team member orientations as may be necessary. Assists with the administration and management of the team members’ social programs and events as directed by Director of Human Resources. Assists in the separation process including preparation of full and final settlements; information technology separation checklist; collection of company property; conducting exit interviews and overseeing the signing of company release statements. Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database as needed. Completes required HR reports on a timely basis as scheduled. Assists in maintaining company organization charts and team member directory. Updates HR log/spreadsheet with team member change requests and processes appropriate paperwork. Assists Director of Human Resources with various research projects and/or special projects. Assist the department managers to exchange information regarding priorities, progress or problems, and recommends appropriate corrective action or process involvement/enhancement policy/practice changes. Assist in the direction and coordination of activities for department efficiently and professionally. Assist in compiling, processing payroll weekly and as otherwise necessary including accurate documentation and tracking of team benefits and leaves. Assist in preparing and processing correspondence as required including team member job letters and minutes of meetings. Always comply with Goldwynn standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations. Perform any reasonable duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or related degree required. Three years Human Resources Experience Required. Minimum three to five years of progressively increasing experience in the area of Human Resources in a Resort or the Hospitality Industry, Strong leadership skills, strong background and training in Human Resources with an analytical background. Previous training, adult-learning, experience is preferred. Well organized, self-motivated and good at multi-tasking A team player with tactful interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude Proven ability to manage and deliver results for senior leadership Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed. Goldwynn operates a twenty-four (24) hour business. Therefore, you will be scheduled to work shifts, which may change from time to time.
