We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Science and Technology: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Overseeing the day-to-day running and ensuring smooth operation of the laboratories under the School, including management of inventory, maintenance and repair of equipment; Supporting in the establishment and organization of laboratory spaces within the Industrial Centre, ensuring that all equipment and materials are properly arranged and functional for teaching and research activities. Managing the administrative, financial and human resources matters of the laboratories, including training and supervising technical and administrative staff; Conducting laboratory inspections and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements; Handling laboratory safety matters and ensuring the appropriate laboratory safety practice is adopted; Supporting laboratory courses and research projects; and Performing any other duties as assigned by the School. Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: A recognized degree (preferably a higher degree) in Building Services Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline with relevant post-qualification experience, preferably gained in tertiary institutions; A track record of solid leadership experience in managing industrial centers or core facilities. Advanced understanding of industrial center operations, including safety protocols, equipment management, and facility maintenance. Good interpersonal, communication and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively engage with various stakeholders. Good leadership and management skills; Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently under pressure; and A good command of English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.
