Description
Ashirvad by Aliaxis is seeking a dynamic legal professional with 3-6 years of in-house and/or law firm experience to join our growing legal team in Bengaluru. Prior exposure to the manufacturing sector legal operations or a tier one law firm would be an added advantage. The person would be reporting to the Head of Legal. Key Responsibilities 1. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in compliance applicable to manufacturing units, competition laws, environmental laws, health and safety laws, and the Legal Metrology Act. Regularly map and implement legal compliance frameworks and tools across manufacturing locations, including third-party manufacturers. Identify compliance gaps, recommend corrective measures, and ensure timely closure. Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations and proactively advise management on potential business impacts. 2. Contract Drafting & Management Partner with procurement and business teams to draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts (LOIs, MOUs, NDAs, purchase/sales agreements, service contracts, consultancy and construction agreements, lease deeds, manpower contracts, etc.). Ensure all contracts align with company policies and statutory requirements. Support the rollout and adoption of the contract management system and other legal technology tools across business units. 3. Land Due Diligence Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence for prospective land transactions, assess risks, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for documentation and approvals. 4. Litigation Commercial litigation including other civil & criminal litigation. 5. Legal Advisory Provide day-to-day legal advice and support to business and functional teams on operational and strategic matters. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a reputed institution. 3-6 years of relevant experience in a leading law firm or as an In-House Counsel. Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions. Proven ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
