Description
We are seeking an experienced legal professional with a robust background in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, particularly within enterprise SaaS businesses, and a comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance requirements. Familiarity with space law is an added advantage. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in shaping, refining, and evolving our legal frameworks; drafting and negotiating specialized contracts tailored to address sector-specific challenges; and ensuring compliance with space industry regulations across jurisdictions.   Key Responsibilities: * Create and maintain standard-form contract templates (including industry-specific agreements) to ensure legal protection, intellectual property protection, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business objectives. * Oversee and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including data protection laws and mission-related compliance frameworks in India and other relevant jurisdictions, while proactively addressing emerging legal challenges. * Provide strategic legal guidance and active due diligence support for fundraising activities, including negotiation and drafting of transaction documentation. * Collaborate with external consultants to develop, protect, and implement strategies for managing and enforcing the company’s intellectual property rights. * Draft, negotiate, and finalize contracts for company products and services, ensuring legal compliance, business alignment, and effective risk management. * Develop and execute structuring strategies to support the company’s expansion into foreign markets, ensuring compliance with trade regulations and jurisdiction-specific legal requirements. * Evaluate legal risks related to company operations, provide strategic guidance to stakeholders, and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies to ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.   Eligibility Criteria: * Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) or equivalent. * 5-7 years of in-house legal experience, with some law firm experience within this period also acceptable. * Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. * Strong understanding of sectoral regulations, commercial contracts, and intellectual property laws. * Experience managing cross-border contracts, regulatory approvals, and international expansion strategies. * Prior experience working on fundraising transactions. * Ability to navigate complex legal challenges in a fast-evolving industry and regulatory environment. * The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong strategic and creative thinking with a problem-solving mindset, along with adaptability, leadership skills, team management, attention to detail, cross-functional collaboration, ethical judgment.   Preferred Skills: * LL.M in Business Law or a related fields is a plus. * Knowledge of international treaties and frameworks governing space activities will be an added advantage. * Prior experience working in the technology sector; aerospace and defence sector is a plus.
