Position: Assistant Manager – Maintenance Engineer   Position Snapshot: Place of work: Nestlé Lanka - Kurunegala Factory Area: Engineering   Position Summary: Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the candidate will be responsible for coordinating maintenance plans and resources with engineering and production teams to ensure timely, high-quality execution. The role focuses on maintaining asset reliability and enhancing plant performance through effective planning and execution of maintenance activities, ultimately driving asset utilization and operational efficiency.   A day in the life of the role: Implement and continuously improve maintenance plans in alignment with Nestlé’s Maintenance Strategy, ensuring tasks are effectively scheduled, executed, and reviewed using the Asset and Maintenance Management (AMM) system to support asset reliability and performance. Collaborate with production and third-party service providers to prioritize maintenance tasks, manage shutdowns, and ensure high-quality execution of planned activities. Align maintenance operations with production and business objectives through daily coordination, data-driven planning, and continuous improvement efforts to reduce downtime and enhance operational efficiency. Act as the AMM superuser, leading the development of engineering team capabilities in asset and maintenance management systems. Coordinate with Technical Stores to manage asset BOMs and classify spare parts, while supporting inventory reviews to optimize stock levels and reduce slow-moving items. Plan and monitor the maintenance budget, utilizing AMM reports to track key performance indicators and support informed decision-making.   What will make you successful?
