We are looking for a dynamic Assistant Food & Beverage / Coffee Shop Manager who can inspire their team, deliver exceptional guest experiences, and ensure smooth daily operations across our restaurant, bar, and coffee service. The ideal candidate understands both restaurant and specialty coffee operations, from managing service flow and supporting team members to ensuring every guest receives a memorable experience. This role is hands-on and service-driven, setting the tone for the team while maintaining high operational standards. Requested Tasks * Ensure daily service runs effectively and smoothly across the restaurant and coffee operations * Lead, mentor, and support front-of-house team members and coffee shop staff * Greet and assist guests, maintaining a guest-first mentality at all times * Handle guest requests and resolve service opportunities with professionalism and care * Oversee scheduling and assist with payroll processing * Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in accordance with health and safety standards * Manage inventory and ensure proper maintenance of coffee equipment and beverage stations * Train team members on service standards, beverage preparation, and operational procedures * Foster teamwork and create a positive and supportive work culture Requested Capabilities  * Prior experience in restaurant, food & beverage, or coffee shop management is highly preferred * Strong knowledge of coffee, tea, and beverage preparation (espresso, milk steaming, equipment maintenance) preferred * Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members * Excellent communication skills; approachable, professional, and service-oriented * Highly organized with strong attention to detail * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards * Strong understanding of health and safety standards As part of the Makeready collection, we proudly offer a variety of thoughtful benefits and perks for eligible team members including accommodating PTO/PTO exchange, medical/dental/vision benefits, maternity/paternity leave, pet insurance, company-matched dependent care & 401k, student loan repayment program and a wide range of additional ancillary benefits. Responsibilities
The Assistant Manager oversees daily service operations across the restaurant and coffee shop while leading and mentoring the front-of-house team. They are responsible for maintaining high service standards, managing inventory, and ensuring a safe, guest-focused environment.
