POSITION OVERVIEW

This role supports the effective and smooth operations of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. The position focuses on managing communications, public relations, media, marketing, and administrative responsibilities to ensure well-coordinated and impactful execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for marketing initiatives, digital content creation, event planning, and budget tracking, while working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to strengthen the department’s visibility and operational success.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Marketing Communications, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with basic knowledge of design software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAble to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage the events calendar for the Orthopaedic and Hand Surgery departments
  • Conceptualise and execute departmental events and outreach activities
  • Develop marketing strategies and patient education materials relevant to the departments
  • Create content for EDMs, posters, digital panels, and social media platforms
  • Build awareness of departmental services across digital channels such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Review and update website content, improve user navigation, and collaborate with clinicians for content development
  • Create engaging visual content (e.g. videos, reels) for clinic digital displays
  • Monitor SEO trends, assess digital content performance, and refine strategies for improved visibility
  • Draft memos, briefs, and invitations for departmental events
  • Undertake other duties or ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Reporting Officer
