McManus Pubs is a medium sized family business with 18 sites across Northants, Bucks & Essex. We operate a range of sites from small local wet only sites to large destination dining venues.
The Sun In is a beautiful village pub with cosy fires for Winter and a huge garden for Summer. We pride ourselves on delivering delicious freshly cooked food bust also knowing how to throw a party and have fun!
We’re looking for a hospitality focused Assistant Manager who is ambitious and looking to progress into a General Manager role with us in the next few years. You should have experience leading and motivating teams to deliver fantastic experiences every day. You should be comfortable controlling a busy pub, innovative and forward thinking, enjoy spending time with customers and motivated by achieving top customer feedback every time.
This role is for a general Assistant Manager but you could look to specialise and take control of one of the following areas:
- Bar Manager
- Restaurant Manager
- Training Manager
- Events Manager

· forecasting and managing wages to deliver profit for the pub
. working with the kitchen to ensure excellent quality dishes
· having a sound understanding of both digital and offline marketing;
· being a resilient and persistent character able to integrate into the local community;
· teaching and developing those around you
· understanding and developing current trends and showing creativity to exploit them and drive venue visits
. venue management to ensure the customer journey and experience is the best it can be
· ensuring company policies are always adhered to.
