Assistant Manager (Networking & Telecommunications) - Mumbai   Qualification: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) Experience: * At least 4-6 years of experience in networking and telecommunications, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or assistant management role.  * Experience working with enterprise-level networking infrastructure and telecommunication systems.  * Proven track record of managing and maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performance networks.   Job Description:  Network Infrastructure Management:  * Design, implement, and maintain network systems including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.  * Oversee configuration and management of LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.  * Ensure seamless integration of network hardware and software components.  * Monitor network performance, perform regular upgrades, and ensure network availability and reliability.   Telecommunications Management:  * Manage voice communication systems (VoIP, PBX, etc.), mobile communication devices, and unified communications platforms.  * Oversee telecommunication services contracts, SLAs, and vendor relationships.  * Ensure the proper configuration and functioning of telecommunication devices such as IP phones, conferencing systems, and communication tools.   Troubleshooting and Incident Management:  * Act as the escalation point for complex networking and telecommunications issues.  * Manage incident response, diagnosis, and resolution to minimize network downtime.  * Implement best practices for proactive network health checks and preventive measures to avoid service disruptions.   Network Security & Compliance:  * Ensure network security policies and standards are followed, including VPN access, firewall configuration, and other security protocols.  * Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to safeguard network systems from unauthorized access, malware, and data breaches.  * Conduct regular network audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.   Project Management & Coordination:  * Assist in planning and executing network and telecommunications projects, including system upgrades, expansions, or new installations.  * Coordinate with other IT teams, departments, and vendors to ensure successful project execution within time and budget constraints.  * Maintain clear documentation of all projects, network diagrams, system configurations, and infrastructure changes.   Team Supervision and Mentorship:  * Lead and mentor junior networking team members, providing guidance on technical issues, best practices, and career development.  * Conduct regular performance reviews and training to ensure team competency and technical growth.  * Assist in managing work schedules, project timelines, and resource allocation for the team.   Vendor Management:  * Liaise with external vendors and service providers to evaluate and procure networking equipment, telecommunication services, and software solutions.  * Negotiate contracts, manage service agreements, and ensure adherence to SLAs and performance metrics.   Documentation & Reporting:  * Maintain detailed records of network configurations, setups, troubleshooting logs, and incident reports.  * Prepare and present regular reports on network performance, incidents, and projects to senior management.  * Ensure compliance with documentation standards for all network and telecommunications systems.
