Description The Oakmont Job Position: Assistant Manager Supervisor: Market Partner Overall Supervises and achieves the highest standards in the overall operation of food and service areas in The Oakmont. Directs and supervises proper staffing, service, product quality and guest satisfaction in harmony with Plated Projects Core Values Directs and supervises a well maintained, clean and safe facility, fixtures, and equipment Directs and supervises financial controls, forecasting and budget goals Initiates the restaurants marketing plans Leads by example, maintains strong leadership, organizational and decision-making skills Communicates clearly and effectively Provides a positive and safe work environment Core Values & Oakmont Operating Policies Upholds core values, policies and standard of The Oakmont Employees & Staffing Oversees all FOH staff Assists and proactively helps with BOH staff Conducts hiring processes Maintains scheduling and implementation of all training and development programs Is the primary lead in training and overseeing development of new staff Conducts performance reviews for FOH employees Conducts ongoing training in areas of service, alcohol, food, and personality for staff Takes note of disciplinary action/termination as needed Service Standards Oversees implementation and maintenance of all Plated Projects service standards Ensures compliance with all Plated Projects standards, procedures, methods, and techniques BOH – Ensures that Oakmont standards of food quality, and consistency are always met. In addition to adhering to County Food and Health Safety Guidelines. FOH - Food delivery, service, and guest experience standards. Oversees accuracy, quality and timeliness of all dishes and beverages leaving the kitchen and bar Product Standards Maintains impeccable knowledge of Oakmont menu, dishes, ingredients, and recipes Maintains extensive alcohol beverage service standards, ID checks, over serving, etc Guest Relation Standards Oversees implementation and maintenance of all Oakmont guest relation standards Oversees reservation system and procedures in house Oversees POS system and procedures Creates budgets and implements annual marketing plans Is knowledgeable of community events, local businesses, and competitors Communicates with guests and receives feedback good or bad Welcomes and acknowledges regulars, VIP’s, large parties etc Actively engages the community to drive business and catering via schools, hotels, local business etc Work Environment Oversees compliance with all Plated Projects sanitation, health and safety standards and injury prevention standards Oversees compliance with all Oakmont facility and equipment maintenance standards Helps maintain and clean and safe work environment Creates and maintains a positive work environment where all employees feel comfortable and are treated with respect Keeps moral high and staff having fun. Floor Door & Décor- Maintains a clean and organized Dining Room and areas visible to the guest Is compliant with Over Easy promotional standards and materials Keeps a common focus on guests entering and exiting the restaurant Creates a culture that is passionate about the Guest Experience from the time they enter until the time they leave Ensures that the environment of the restaurant will never be scarified including music, TV’s, staff engagement Maintains the overall look of The Oakmont Brand Financial Management Ensures proper food and beverage cost controls and procedures Ensures proper labor cost controls and procedures Monitors and complies with all budgetary guidelines Monitors all budget variances Ensures proper forecasting processes and variances. Maintains keeping accurate reverse labor Communication & Presence Leads by example Maintains positive attendance record Attends and contributes to all weekly manager meetings Communicates and responds to company emails Completes daily manager log Conducts daily pre-shifts Completes daily paperwork Communicates in a timely manner via email to managers, office staff, and owners as needed Problem solves and resolves employee conflicts, irate customers, upset vendors Utilization of software tools to record, monitor and achieve results Restaurant 365, Toast POS, Office 365 Requirements Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and other pre-employment screenings. Requirements Qualifications Minimum 3 years work experience managing a restaurant with a staff of 10+. Must work 5 days out of the week, and must include Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Attention to detail, Strong leadership, organizational and decision-making skills. Able to communicate clear and effectively. Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to fifty pounds. Able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time. Exceptional hygiene and grooming habits. Background Check Required.
