We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Facilities Management Office: Major Duties and Responsibilities The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following: Ensuring that the vendor/contractor complies at all times with all applicable OSH policies, procedures and their requirements; Formulating and providing efficient and effective safety solution, proposal, suggestions, and prompt implementation with independent working with strong self-initiative; Ensuring and supervising that the internal and external communication process regarding the OSH management system’s performance, improvements and effectiveness is established and functions properly; Conducting accident investigation (on construction sites, occupational work areas, and laboratories), root cause analysis, incident reporting to prevent accidents, near hits and non-compliance; Implementing ISO 45001 and related standard and guidelines, develop and implement an environmental/ sustainability strategy; Implementing environmental mitigation measures and commitments as required for the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Environmental Permit (EP) and other relevant documents; Conducting regular on-site checking and inspection for user space and construction sites to ensure site progress is in accordance with programme and specification; Supervising and promoting site safety, monitoring and promoting environmental management; and Other ad-hoc duties as required Candidates Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence: Degree in occupational health and safety, environment, sustainability or equivalent. Registered Safety Officer under the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors) Regulations. At least 5 years' relevant experience after professional qualification of Registered Safety Officer. At least 8 years’ experience in safety supervision in construction project, renovation, and facility management or equivalent . Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Good knowledge of relevant safety legislation, practices and guidelines, safety experience in sizable projects and organisations is preferable. Good computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing software Relevant safety experience in laboratory (Chemical and Biomedical) is an advantage. Experience in policy formation, guideline preparation, report preparation and chairing safety meeting is expected. Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.
