We are searching for an Experienced Assistant Manager within the food and beverage or leisure arena, to initially assist the General Manager with day to day operations of Otterspool Adventure, Liverpool’s largest family leisure attraction of its type. With the aim ultimately to focus your attention on, taking control of the day to day F&B operation of our extremely busy waterfront cafe and restaurant.
This position is working predominantly day shifts, 8am - 6pm.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The goal is to help maximise sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement, creating a positive brand image for the Park and cafe, creating goodwill and repeat custom.

WORK AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in Assistant Management in the food or leisure industry.
  • Strong supervisory and managerial skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality/leisure industry.
  • Ability to find creative solutions with proven problem-solving capabilities offering support where required.
  • Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time, and energy.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING:

  • Supporting Performance: Assist in managing and elevating the Park and cafe’s performance.
  • Team Development: Help to coach, train, and inspire our team to greatness.
  • Achieving Excellence: Hit monitored KPIs to help maintain our high standards.
  • Smooth Operations: Assist with weekly admin tasks to keep the business running like clockwork.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure every guest has a memorable experience that keeps them coming back again and again.
  • Talent Recruitment: Help find and foster the best talent who embody our core values as a Children’s Adventure Park and North Pole Experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help to manage Food & Beverage operations within budget and to the highest standards
  • Deliver training plans consistently
  • Linking up Events with F&B.
  • Place orders and control stock levels in accordance with the GP.
  • Help ensure labour is controlled and service standards maintained.
  • Ensure staff follow Otterspool Adventure policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team and General Manager to ensure strong cohesion and maximum footfall.
  • Create a sales culture within your department.
  • Help to ensure the site is compliant with health & safety guidelines such as EHO and report to the General Manager when any concerns arise.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure menus are varied and products are costed correctly, allowing the cafe to maximise the profit.
  • Assist in menu development for upcoming launches or events.
  • Work with the General Manager and your team to ensure we sustain our 5-star food hygiene rating.
