Ovis Coffees is expanding! We opened our first store just 10 months ago and are now preparing to launch our second. We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to help us build a strong team during this exciting expansion process in the UK.

OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Ovis Coffees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, ideally within the coffee or food service sector. This role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to manage and motivate a team, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting daily operations, running shifts, and helping us build a strong team culture as we expand across London.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in an assistant manager role within hospitality (coffee experience preferred).
  • Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
  • Good knowledge of coffee preparation and/or food service operations.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while staying calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a passion for customer service.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.

    Pay: £13.90-£14.50 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily coffee shop operations and ensuring smooth service.
  • Lead shifts, supervise staff, and provide hands-on support where needed.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and ensure Ovis service standards are always met.
  • Manage stock counting, placing orders, and monitoring inventory levels.
  • Complete daily paperwork and ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety standards.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally.
  • Support the Store Manager in scheduling staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Contribute to creating a positive, team-focused environment.
