Vino Volo, a dynamic part of Paradies Lagardère, is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our team in creating unforgettable wine experiences in a vibrant airport setting. This role combines restaurant operations with cultivating sophisticated customer relationships. What You'll Do * Lead and motivate a team to elevate customer experiences in our vibrant airport venue. * Drive sales in wine, food, and merchandise, balancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. * Train and nurture staff in delivering Vino Volo’s exceptional service standards. * Liaise across various management levels to ensure top-quality customer experiences. * Promote a safe and respectful work environment, adhering to Alberta's workplace safety and harassment prevention regulations. Your Skills and Experience * Minimum two years of college education; four-year degree preferred. * 1-2 years' experience in management or as a wine sommelier in a reputable full-service restaurant, wine bar, or winery tasting room. * Proven leadership and team management abilities. * Wine knowledge is advantageous. * Proficiency in retail POS systems and Microsoft Office. * Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Requirements * Must be at least 19 years old (legal drinking age in BC). * Able to pass required background checks. * Flexible to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays. * Valid Serving It Right certification or equivalent as per BC regulations. * Capable of lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds.
