JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Lead the performance testing function to ensure that applications and systems meet defined non-functional requirements for speed, scalability, stability, and reliability.
  • Establish and maintain performance testing strategies, frameworks, and governance across multiple projects.
  • Plan, design, and oversee execution of load, stress, endurance, and volume tests for critical business applications.
  • Review system architecture and collaborate with developers, DBAs, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to identify bottlenecks.
  • Introduce automation in performance testing pipelines and integrate with CI/CD processes.
  • Drive root cause analysis for performance incidents and provide technical recommendations for optimization.
  • Build, coach, and mentor a team of performance engineers to strengthen organizational testing capability.
  • Stay updated with the latest tools, frameworks, and industry best practices to continuously improve testing methodologies.

SKILLS

  • Strong expertise with industry-standard performance testing tools e.g. JMeter
  • Proficiency with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana , JProfiler, Application Manager.
  • Solid knowledge of databases and ability to analyze performance impacts of queries and indexing.
  • Strong scripting/programming skills (Java, Python, Shell, or similar) for test automation and performance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated performance tests.
  • Analytical mindset with strong root cause analysis and tuning expertise.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills, with ability to present complex results to senior executives.
