Title: Assistant Manager-Process Engineer Function: Supply Chain Location: Haldia Factory, India Req ID: R-1165784 JOB PURPOSE This role exists to drive Manufacturing Excellence & Digital Initiatives in a Blown factory by fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key responsibilities included optimizing production processes, enhancing operational efficiency and manpower productivity, implementing innovative solutions and digital transformation to maintain high product quality while reducing line wastage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Digital transformation agenda in implementing Digital Solutions like, RTTE, MET, OBT, DFOS, SPC, EMS • Closely working with manufacturing & Engineering team for adoption of the digital solution & create value • Closely tracking the factory digital transformation index & to ensure not to slip from the target & improve it • Leading UMS understand all steps from the central team coordinate with cross functional team for a smooth implementation. • Lead FI pillar & improve key KPIs of the Plant under this pillar improve the people capability • Lead OEE improvement activities along with manufacturing team reducing chronic issues, meet factory glide path target • Identify key improvement /innovation projects of the plant, manpower reduction, defect reduction etc & support to improve plant KPI • Benchmarking data collection discussion with central Manex. • Data analytics of the digital solution create value • DTI Score improvement of the site – Adoption, Value Creation and OTIF • Building People Capability for FOW and digitally upskill shopfloor employee REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Instrumentation/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering • 5-10 years of Experience in Plant engineering, Automation, Digital transformation etc. • Strong data analytical skills • Good knowledge on plant automation /data capturing & digital transformation • Proactive with a high level of passion for execution. • Promoting Continuous process improvement in the Plant. • Ability to communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders At Unilever, inclusion is at the heart of everything we do.
