Achieve production related KPI’s ( Flexibility, Reliability, CSR, Scrap, UEE, UPLH, OTAT) Collaborate with global teams to plan, Implement & manage new technologies & projects. Support cross functional teams for organizational optimization of production. Liaise with cross functional departments for optimisation of production. Plan, review & adjust production planning & execute based on the dynamic requirements. Carry out training & development programs ( technical & soft skills) to subordinates. Carry out appraisals & evaluations for subordinates and support in providing personal development plans as and when needed. Oversee all activities of production Oversee planning and scheduling of daily/weekly/monthly production Oversee allocation of manpower and material according to machine capacity Ensure that quality standards are complied with in production Follow the SOP for all the activities Ensure leave balancing without affecting monthly planned production Oversee ordering of materials for production and spare parts for machinery Ensure that all new development sample labels made are according to specifications Ensure that production is achieved within specified budget for department Recruit, select, train & develop staff of the Department according to HR plan Ensure that machines are in a good state of repair Ensure that preventive and breakdown maintenance of production and non-production machinery is carried out Coordinate and prepare reports to platform teams as and when required Follow the company compliance and EHS Close coordination with global respective product lines . Qualifications Minimum: BSc / NDT in Electrical or Production Engineering with at least 7 years experience in the textile or other related industry of which 3 – 4 years must be in a managerial capacity. A degree in the fields specified and post graduate qualifications in Industrial Engineering, Business, Finance etc. Good interpersonal skills, ability to manage a team for results, very good communication skills in both English & Sinhala, excellent knowledge of the Printing/textile industry, Ability to coach and mentor factory staff, ability to spot strengths and weaknesses in team members and a methodical approach to work are required.
