If you are looking to excel and make a difference, take a closer look at us… The Procurement Assistant Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive procurement strategy for all sourcing, purchasing, contract management and tendering activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement principles, contract negotiation skills, and a focus on cost reduction and efficiency. The successful candidates will report to the Procurement Manager. Key Responsibilities Procurement Strategy: Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with bank objectives; identify and negotiate with high-quality vendors for favorable terms. Contract Management: Draft and negotiate complex corporate service contracts; ensure full compliance with legal/regulatory standards and manage performance monitoring. Cost Management: Analyze spending to identify cost-saving opportunities; track and report on procurement metrics and expense optimization. Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate strong vendor partnerships to ensure service quality; support stakeholders in resolving performance issues and disputes. Project Management: Oversea end-to-end procurement projects—from vendor selection to implementation—while coordinating across internal departments. Risk Management: Proactively assess and mitigate supply chain risks; implement and update risk management plans to ensure business continuity. Job Requirements Malaysian citizen. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree, Professional Degree, Master Degree in Financing/ Accounting/Banking, Economics, Business Studies/ Administration/ Management, or relevant equivalent supply-chain qualification. 5 years of experience in procurement or a similar role. Knowledge of sustainability, green procurement and E-procurement systems such as Oracle is highly preferred. Working proficiency in English and Malay (written/spoken) and competent in Microsoft Office applications (Word & Excel) as well as procurement software. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, strong analytical with problem solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
