Description

Assisting the Procurement Manager in providing professional advice on procurement planning and strategy for specific categories and executing sourcing projects to achieve business goals and objectives, this role plays a key part in aligning procurement operations with organizational objectives and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for: supporting the Procurement Manager in supervising team members and providing strategic guidance on procurement planning across various spend categories, including artistic goods and services; contributing to team development and capability building to ensure alignment with organizational procurement strategies; leading strategic sourcing projects by coordinating with stakeholders and applying suitable procurement methods to maximize value and efficiency for the Authority; driving cross-functional procurement initiatives focused on supplier consolidation and cost optimization; facilitating collaboration across departments to enhance supplier portfolio management and deliver improved procurement outcomes; ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures, and delivers internal training to promote best practices among users; participating in the review and enhancement of procurement operations, reporting mechanisms, and supplier management systems; promoting continuous improvement through data-driven insights and performance analysis of procurement activities and supplier relationships; and performing any other duties from time to time as the Authority may reasonably direct. You should: possess a recognised university degree in purchasing and supply chain management, quantity surveying, business management or equivalent, preferably with professional membership in a relevant institution; have around 6-8 years of experience in indirect procurement functions, tendering, and vendor management, preferably with 3 years in a supervisory capacity gained from multinational or sizable organisations; experience in large-scale tendering or cost optimization projects is an advantage; have strong project management and supervisory skills; and be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
