Description
As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for cooperating with the Manager in charge on all aspects of store operations, including customer service, sales, inventory management, staff supervision, and maintaining a positive and efficient work environment.   Primary duties and responsibilities: * Provide excellent customer service by handling inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise appropriately. * Assist the manager in the implementation of effective product sales and promotion strategies. * Keep the store clean, organized, and stocked to maintain a flawless presentation. * Manage inventory accurately, including product receiving, record keeping, storage, and merchandise rotation. * Cash handling and processing payment transactions. * Supervise and assist in staff training by providing feedback and coaching to new members. * Advise customers of the location of the different products *  Make sure the lights are lit in the display cases and refrigerators. * Address employee concerns in a timely and professional manner. * Assist with opening and closing procedures. * Follow company policies and maintain a safe and secure work environment. * Help with visual merchandising and store displays. * PERFORM ANY OTHER TASK ASSIGNED BY THE STORE MANAGER.   Job Requirements:  * Patience. Courtesy. Honesty. * Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). * Knowledge of monetary values: capacity to make change and give receipts. * Ability to learn prices and special offers, including Taquería specials and the daily menu. * Ability to learn the price codes and offers that may constantly change. * Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously. * Manual skills. * Superior ability to resolve conflicts with customers in a friendly and efficient manner. * Recognize and report any suspicious activity. * Know the procedures to follow in case of theft. * Ability to work under pressure. * Ability to communicate with customers, employees and suppliers. * Excellent personal presentation. * Read, write and speak Spanish and English fluently. * Graduation from high school or GED. (Preferred).   Physical Requirements: * Ability to lift 30 pounds. * Ability to Stand for long periods of time. * Ability to flex, kneel, bend and stoop. * Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
