REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum three years as an auditor / a compliance officer or equivalent
  • Experience of compliance promotion activities (Anti-bribery / Anti-Corruption, AntiTrust / Competition Laws, Export Controls / Strategic Trade Management) is preferred.
  • CAATs (Computer Assisted Audit Techniques) is preferred.
  • International Travel in the Region (Southeast Asia, Pacific and India) for regional audit assessments and compliance promotion activities
  • Please do take note for this role required every month travel to SEA
Responsibilities

Regional Audit

Audit planning (Plan)

  • Establish and maintain appropriate policies and procedures of the internal audit function.
  • Prepare risk-based audit plans to set out the priorities of the internal audit function.
  • Coordinate internal audit plans and activities with the group-companies in Southeast Asia, Pacific and India

regions

Fieldwork (Do)

  • Conduct preliminary survey of each group-company and major functional area by means of interview, etc.
  • Perform audit fieldwork in accordance with the audit plan.
  • Identify factors causing deficient conditions and provide constructive, economical and practical recommendations for findings
  • Determine material weaknesses in internal controls of various areas, including adequacy and efficiency of
  • administration and operations.
  • Discuss findings with auditees upon closing of the fieldwork.

Reporting (Action)

  • Prepare audit reports of each audit findings and recommendations.
  • Explain the result of each audit to the management.
  • Report annual audit result to the management.

Follow-up (Check)

  • Follow-up improvements and remedial actions on audit findings and report progresses to the management

QAIP (Self-evaluation)

  • To conduct and implement Quality Assurance and Improvement Program and report to HQ.

Regional Compliance

  • To promote and penetrate MHI Group Global Policies and Procedures on Anti-Bribery / Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust / Competition Laws, and Export Controls / Strategic Trade Management, etc.
  • To support Group / Regional / Corporate policies & procedures enactment and revision process.
  • To coordinate and execute compliance seminars, compliance trainings, risk assessments in the Region.
  • To participate in ad-hoc investigations and reviews of company non-compliance cases.
  • To support Group Companies in the Region for implementing regional whistleblowing helpline in line with local country laws and regulations (labour law, personal data protection rules and regulations, etc.).
  • To participate in whistleblowing investigation with Matters related to Competition Law, Corruption or Bribery, Embezzlement, Fraudulent Accounting, etc.
  • To independently design and execute ad hoc compliance promotion projects, while effectively communicating with relevant Group Companies in the Region to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of outcomes. To demonstrate familiarity with regional regulatory environments and business compliance risks by gathering, staying updated on the latest compliance laws and regulations, and applying them effectively to relevant Group companies in the region.

Compliance

  • To promote, penetrate and support company internal control and compliance (Anti-Bribery / Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust / Competition Laws, and Export Controls / Strategic Trade Management, etc.).
  • To serve as a checker for contacting with competitors application, donation / entertainment / gift application (providing / receiving), export control / strategic trade management screening, etc in line with company and Singapore Laws & Regulations in the viewpoint of compliance.
  • To provide regular compliance trainings and monitor the status of annual Company Group e-Learning.
  • To perform self-check assessments (J-SOX and Export Control, etc.) and report to HQ.To independently manage daily business compliance screening processes, while effectively communicating with relevant employees to ensure efficient and effective outcomes.
