Assistant Floor Manager
Overview:
Join our team as a Floor Manager where you will oversee the daily operations of our restaurant. We are looking for a dedicated individual with a background in team management, culinary expertise, and a passion for the hospitality industry.
Duties:
- Manage and lead a team of Front of House restaurant staff, including servers, bartenders, bussers, and host/hostesses
- Ensure high-quality food preparation and service in compliance with industry standards
- Oversee inventory control and ordering to maintain optimal stock levels
- Implement and maintain proper food handling procedures and safety regulations
- Supervise the operation of the Point of Sale (POS) system for efficient transactions
- Create a welcoming atmosphere for guests and handle any customer inquiries or concerns promptly
- Collaborate with the assistant manager to optimize restaurant performance
Skills:
- Proven experience in team management within the food industry
- Strong culinary background with knowledge of various cooking techniques
- Excellent hospitality skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Familiarity with inventory control and ordering processes
- Proficiency in POS systems for smooth restaurant operations
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain cleanliness standards
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Previous experience as a cook or in a culinary role
- Understanding of a Fine Dining Bar Program
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices
- Familiarity with assistant manager duties
