Responsibilities:
- Researching trends, gathering and analyzing industry information regarding products, product safety, potential sources of supply, props, fixture concepts, competitive merchandising, industry practices, product sales and price points
- Sourcing new vendors through industry research and trade shows
- Managing supply chain and logistics to ensure vendors meet quality standards and meets or exceeds dates for deliverables
- Responsible for hiring and establishing performance objectives
- Developing regional and branded retail programs
- Managing supplier performance by monitoring and implementing remedial actions where required
- Managing vendor compliance letters and test results regarding factory working conditions
- Managing shipboard and warehouse inventory levels and implementing corrective action as required
- Analyzing financial data to evaluate consumer purchasing patterns and inventory levels
- Managing the competitive contract process for commodity goods
- Administering the department’s training and developmental budget
- Providing input and liaising with Corporate Security/Employee Development to identify loss prevention and retail training opportunities
- Monitoring warehouse and vessel shrinkage results and recommends remedial action plans
- Conducting monthly merchandising planning meetings to establish annual and seasonal visual plans for retail shops
- Conducting sales and margin analysis to develop merchandising plans to maximize margins
- Developing planograms for visual strategy
- Developing of remedial merchandising plans to meet budget targets
