Description

Roles & responsibilities Understanding basics of tax regulations for Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs) and Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS). Work on engagements related to taxable income computations on structured products including calculation of various components of income and expense, such as original issue discount (OID), market discount and premium. Work with large sets of transaction data and identify improvements through resources such as Excel, VBA and Alteryx. Research and report on business concepts including accounting, finance, federal and some international income tax matters related to income recognition, expense deduction, debt instruments including discounts and premiums impacting various structured debt products and the entities holding and issuing these securities End-to-end project execution Perform second level reviews of work done by juniors

Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager will handle taxable income computations for structured products and perform end-to-end project execution. They are also responsible for identifying process improvements using data tools and conducting second-level reviews of junior staff work.
