Description

This role reports to the Manager, Security (District Emergency Planning and Risk Management) and plays a crucial part in supporting the DEPRM Team in preparing internal and external stakeholders throughout the entire risk cycle, particularly within the WKCDA Public Open Spaces and Special Venues. The position may occasionally require work outside of regular business hours to address event needs, emergencies, or to prepare for exercises and drills. Light physical activity may also be necessary during site inspections. You will be responsible for: assisting in operations planning, execution, deployment and review of daily security operations and external hire events in WKCDA Public Open Space and Special Venues; supporting in designing and coordinating training and exercises for fire safety and emergency response protocols for venues buildings and facilities; assisting in providing advice and conducting risk assessments for security and public safety for outdoor events held in WKCDA Public Open Space areas; assisting in the supervision of Security Operations and Incidents Reporting; assisting in administrative task such as security budget, invoicing, billing and procurement; supporting in the management of a range of projects as part of District Security’s continuous improvement process; and performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority. You should: possess a university degree in any discipline; have at least three years of experience in developing or supporting event and/or security operations for large, public-facing venues; understand event and security deployment and incident management is preferable; have problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills; be proficient in computer literacy and applications; and be proficient in both written and spoken English and Cantonese, Putonghua is preferable.
